My favorite tree is the Palm tree. Its graceful silhouette never fails to evoke memories of my cherished beach memories with my family.   But what I admire most is its remarkable resilience and ability to endure the harshest weather, including fierce winds and hurricanes, making it a symbol of strength and survival!

Palm trees, are similar to us in various ways, having to endure tough periods where our strength and resilience are put to the test.

Despite the adversities thrown our way, we learn to stand tall as a poignant symbol, urging us to adapt, endure, and thrive in the face of hardships. Palm trees are an reminder of that enduring spirit that we all have within us, a quest for harmony and contentment, and an unwavering pursuit of growth and progress towards the light.

I know that when you are in that adversity, when the pain feels the most unbearable, finding the light, hell just trying to find an inkling of joy seems impossible.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk Therapy combines exercise with therapy for holistic well-being through outdoor walks and conversations.  Therapy is conducted outdoors as being nature can be extremely meditative and allows you to practice mindfulness.  You get to set the pace of the session.  Whether you are looking for a more mindful, relaxing session of walking or a more active, heart-pounding session, I will match your pace.

How does walk & talk therapy work?

We will meet at various parks or walking trails in the area agreed upon by therapist and client.

What about bad weather?

If the weather prohibits us from walking outdoors, we will either reschedule our session for another day or meet virtually.

What about confidentiality?

Due to being outside in a non-traditional setting, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.  However, we will do our best to not make it obvious that we are in a therapy session.  If one of us sees somebody we know, we will casually say ‘hi’ and keep on going.  As far as anyone knows, we are just we are two people walking and talking. 

Who is this best for? 

Absolutely anyone can benefit from walk and talk therapy. This approach allows you to feel more relaxed, creating a less intimidating atmosphere than the traditional therapy setting. If you struggle with trust, you may find walk and talk therapy particularly appealing, as the simple act of walking alongside me can help you feel less alone in your journey.

It encourages you to find healthy additional ways to cope for mental and physical reasons. Additionally, it helps you get "unstuck" when confronting difficult issues by spurring creative, deeper ways of thinking often released by mood-improving physical activity.
